To my husband, I'm "Wildness." He's "Boo." I've learned since joining here, that Russell is "Abakus."

Re: Nicknames...
Tue, July 19, 2005 - 5:30 AMWhen I was in law school I was working nights to survive and several times got into class a bit dishevelled. I got nicknamed Spike. I suspect because of my hair sticking straight up from a bad case of bed-head -

Re: Nicknames...
Tue, July 19, 2005 - 8:08 AMWell, my nicknames are rather obvious ones:
LooneyToons
Lunatic
Loons
But a few are like cockney rhyming slang - they've taken on just the 2nd half so that no one makes the association right away, like:
Module (lunar)
Tuna (lunatuna-hey, I'm a veggie!)
Tic (not an ideal image, methinks)
Oh, well. -

Re: Nicknames...
Tue, July 19, 2005 - 10:56 AMWell, it just so happens that I had a (nother) cat that I called Loona (Luna) or Loons. Really, I did. :) She was all while and very feminine and pretty.
Her real name was Marilyn, but my daughter couldn't say Marilyn, she said Mariloon or something similar...so she became Luna. -
